e seek to provide an emotionally and physically safe place for kids to learn to play together in healthful recreation. Like George School itself, which is an independent, coeducational Friends School, the Summer Day Camp emphasizes respect for the individual and individual responsibility for the group. It is our goal to provide campers with a wide variety of games and activities. Whereas we are not a "sports" camp, campers do participate in a variety of traditional team sports for fun. We understand that not all kids may enjoy sports so our Activity Leaders work very hard to help all kids feel successful in each activity. We do not stress skill acquisition but rather teamwork and participation. In addition, we do many different types of game activities that do not require primary sports skills. These activities may involve object retrieval, invasion or target type games similar to what campers might find in a good Physical Education program. We also have some unique games such as Tchoukball, Trangleball and creative adaptations of kickball games that are quickly becoming camp favorites. We believe it is through games and activities that kids learn how to better interact and communicate with one another.

All our campers spend plenty of time in our beautiful, 8-lane, 25 meter indoor pool. All swim instruction is conducted under the supervision of a professionally trained staff of certified Swim Instructors (WSI certified). As campers progress through the multiple levels of the Red Cross Swim Program they are able to pass a swim test to obtain the next level swim card.

Additionally, campers have (or have the option to) enjoy free swim everyday.
